On October 5th 2007, our very first donation to Canada took place. Bibiana Davidson family received a Britax Marathon for her son. This seat will harness him till he is 65lbs (or outgrows the seat by height). Many thanks to Trudy Slaght - Certified Children's Restraint Systems Technician - for all her time and expertise installing and educating Bibiana on this seat.
Ms. Davidson talks about the experience:
"I was so happy to receive an email from the Kyle David Miller Foundation saying that a car seat will be donated to my son. The installation was done on October 5th by an awesome technician, Trudy Slaght. Regardless of the cold weather and cranky [son], it was a pleasure and fun to learn how to install the car seat properly. Now [my son] smiles and says, "My new car seat," every time I put him in it.

PS - after the installation, we went to McDonalds and after that we were going through an intersection where we had a green light and were going straight. Suddenly, I saw a car going in the opposite direction turning left going at very high speed. don't even know how, but I jumped on my brakes so fast and we were saved. Otherwise he would have hit me and killed me. I was shaking all night; it was pretty scary. But what's really bizzare is that it was right after the installation of our new car seat. A test? Wow, I don't know. I think Kyle made sure we got home ok. Just thought it was interesting and so I wanted to share."
