Blahut Family

The Blahut family received a Britax Regent from the foundation on June 5th for their oldest son. They also recently turned their younger son, previously forward-facing, back to rear-facing - the safest way to travel until a child reaches the weight or height limits for their convertible car seat. Many thanks to Officer Nesbit for his expertise and time to assist the foundation and the Blahut family with the installation and instruction on this seat.

Mrs. Blahut talks about her experience:
"I received my Britax Regent for my 4 1/2 year old son tonight at the Police station. Officer Nesbit was so nice and very informative about car seat seaty. My husband and he installed the carseat in our van. Officer Nesbit couldn't say enough about how great the Britax's are in car seat. He told me we are doing a good job in extended harnessing our 4 1/2 year old and practicing extended rear facing with our 28 month old (who was forward facing since 13 months-27 months old, just turned last month rear facing).

Officer Nesbit works as an Accident Reconstructionist and of course certified as a Car Seat Technichian, so he sees it first hand.

I want to thank the Kyle David Miller foundation for this WONDERFUL gift you have given my child. I never knew about extended harnessing until watching Kyle's Video on YouTube. It really hit me hard then, because Kyle was the same age as my son. I sat there, crying watching the video knowing my son was in a backless booster and had been since 4 years old. I then moved him to a high back booster thinking it was safer- as that is all we could afford.

With your help and generosity, my son is now safe and I am saving every last penny for my 2 1/2 year old a Britax Regent when he is ready. I have told so many people about your foundation and Kyle's story. My 4 1/2 year old son loves his Turtle Carseat shirt from your foundation and the bracelet. He always tells me he got his shirt from a little boy named Kyle. Kyle will never be forgotten. I will do whatever I can to help out this organization and other people. Thank you so much.
