Laurie Bradford received a Radian80 for her daughter and a Britax Regent for her son which were recently installed. Many thanks to Evelyn Hanes for assisting with the delivery of the seat and providing instruction on installation and usage of the seat.
Laurie talks about her experience:
"First, I would like to express my gratitude to the Foundation. My daughter is now the proud owner of a Radian80.
I went today to SAFE kids, got my car seat, and got it installed. It was great to be able to have it installed right where I work. We got there, and Evelyn was waiting for us. We went over the instruction book first, so I would know how to correctly install and use the seat. We fitted [my daughter] and then, she walked me through the install, and made sure the seat was correctly installed in the vehicle.
That is one great thing about SAFE kids, they not only make sure that the seat is installed correctly, they make sure that you can install it too. Evelyn was so friendly. After we got the seat installed, we checked my younger son's seat to make sure it was installed right. It was.
I would like to say that the Radian80 is a great seat, very easy to install, and has great features, like Safestop, which reduces the force of an impact on a small child's body, and lessens the chance of severe injury, and the LATCH system is easier than anything I have used. It takes less than 10 minutes to get it in my van correctly. The seat is also very narrow, and it would be easy to fit them in a smaller car too.
To the Foundation and family...Thank you so much for educating me, and everyone else on the benefits of keeping children in 5 point restraints for as long as possible. Kyle, you live on with every carseat that is donated to families like us. I will think of you and your very brave family every time I buckle my daughter into her carseat. You are truly an angel to all children.
The kids are loving their seats, and I have passed on information about your foundation to a lot of people that I know that have younger kids. Anything I can do to help, I will!
