Bradley Family

The Bradley family received two Regents from the foundation for their children. Many thanks to Debbie Rykowski who installed the car seats and provided the instructional session on the seats.

Debbie talks about the experience:
"The car seat install for the Kyle David Miller Foundation for the Bradley family went very well! Mr. and Mrs. Bradley both showed up for the appointment with two of their children. They met with Firefighter Trey Taylor and Firefighter Steve Bessel of the City of Beloit Fire Department, both Certified Child Safety Seat Technicians. Firefighters Bessel and Taylor explained the proper use of car seats and showed the Bradley family the proper installation of the two car seats your foundation had provided for them in their vehicle. The seats you provided were excellent quality seats and the Bradley family was very excited and grateful for your program. The Bradley family was very eager to learn the proper techniques for the installation and use of the car seats and seatbelt safety information for their other family members and participated throughout the installation process.

Firefighters Bessel and Taylor noticed that the Bradley family arrived with two other child safety seats, however, they were in outdated and well-worn safety seats for their other children. Firefighters Bessel and Taylor quickly remedied that situation and offered the Bradley’s new booster seats for allowing us to dispose of their old, outdated seats. The Firefighters then went to our car seat storage area and obtained two new booster seats for the Bradley’s two other children free of charge, courtesy of the City of Beloit Fire Department. We wanted to make sure the Bradley family had a pleasant, educational and safe experience during their time here and upon leaving. It made us feel better knowing that two more children would be riding in new, safe seats in addition to the two seats your organization provided for the smaller children. As you can see in the photos I sent you – the Bradley’s were full of smiles and very happy with their experience at the Fire Station.

The City of Beloit Fire Department was quite pleased to be able to help you and the Kyle David Miller Foundation – I have gone to your web site and viewed it and you have done an excellent job creating your site and providing information. The Kyle David Miller Foundation provides an excellent source for families in need and it is a wonderful memoriam to Kyle’s untimely death. Thank you very much for including our department in your foundation work, we were happy to be involved and it was an enriching experience for everyone! Please keep us in mind if ever the need arises to work with another family. God bless -
