Thank you to all our families who have shared pictures with us and written about their experience of receiving a donated car seat from the foundation.
We would like to note that all donated car seats are installed by Child Passenger Safety Technicians to ensure they are installed correctly and the family receives an education on how to install and correctly use these seats themselves.
From time to time, some pictures do not depict correct installation or usage - we immediately inform the parents of the errors that we discover in the pictures. Usually, they are a function of pictures being taken *during* the installation process and that this is not how the family is using the seat - e.g. chest clip positioning too high or low, harness too loose etc. Occasionally we are catching genuine errors and are thankful we have the pictures available to us in order to do so.
We strive to ensure that all seats are correctly installed, but we are at the mercy of the technicians who are installing the seats.
