of the year must be especially difficult for all of you. It is wonderful the way you have been so proactive in avoiding any more tragedies like the one you and your family have had to endure.
A friend sent me the video you made on YouTube website and I was touched by your story and your horrible loss. I lost a loved one to a car accident and she was pregnant with my goddaughter at the time. Luckily my goddaughter survived after spending the first days of her life in intensive care but my friend died on impact. Ever since that day nine years ago I have been vigilent about car and seatbelt safety. So when I found out I was pregnant I had to have the safest carseat I could find. My daughter is now three years old and outgrew her Britax Roundabout. I looked at my booster seat options and was not impressed. I wanted her to be in the 5 point
harness still and there were not many options out there. I found the car seat that you talked about the Britax Regent and I also found the carseat that I bought the Recaro Young Sport Child Seat. It has the tether and latch system as well at the 5 point harness. It grows with them and can accomodate up to 80 lbs. also.
[Please note that we contacted Amy about the Recaro Young Sport Child Seat - it does not 5pt harness to 80lbs - the harness must be removed at 40lbs and the seatbelt used thereafter. Thankfully, the location where she bought the Recaro are swapping out the seat for a Regent immediately! Please ALWAYS check your manual - there are only TWO seats on the market right now which 5pt harness to 80lbs - the Britax Regent and the Sunshine Kids Radian80.]
