The story of your incredible loss was forwarded to me by a close friend. I, like you, have 2 beautiful children 15 months apart - a daughter 3 and a son 2. After I read your story, I quickly researched the weight capacity of my 5-point harnesses and - to my horror - found them rated to 40 pounds (although the seat is rated to 65 pounds) - after 40 pounds the instructions are to 'use the seatbelt'. I know that is what I would have done! Instead, I replaced their EvenFlo Booster Seats with two Britax Regent Car Seats. They are rock solid, comfortable, beautiful and - best of all - the kids love them! Since the profile is low and close to the seat, even my 2 year old has no problem climbing into it himself like a big boy. Thank you again for sharing your story with so many!
